What Is Raw Milk?

As people try to eat more naturally as try to shun

the chemicals that seem to be a part of our lives everywhere, one of the things that people are looking at is raw milk. However, bear in mind that this type of milk is not legal everywhere due to health concerns.

Raw milk refers to the natural unaltered milk that comes from cows, goats, or sheep, and in some countries, they even gather milk from buffalo or camels. The milk will never be heated above the highest body temperature of the animal, which is usually no more than 105 degrees Fahrenheit. The milk will also never be pasteurized, homogenized, or frozen, and it will never be altered with any additives, chemicals, light, or homogenization. In most cases, the animal will also not be treated with any antibiotics, because the chemicals can find their way into the milk.

Although the chemicals and treatments that they mandate for the milk that we find in the store allows it to be stored longer and be less likely to carry disease if it has been mishandled, this also takes away a lot of the flavor of the milk and takes away some of the natural nutrients.
