What Is Kundalini?

Answer:
Kundalini comes from Sanskrit, and it literally means

“coiled.” In Indian yoga, this is referred to as an unconscious, instinctive, or libidinal force, envisioned either as a goddess or as a sleeping serpent that is coiled at the base of the spine.

In Yoga, it is proposed that this energy can be awakened by the guru, but that the body and spirit must be prepared through breathing control, physical exercises, visualization, and chanting. This rises from the chakra up through a subtle channel at the base of the spine, as well as from the top of the head merging with the crown chakra. This awakening is not a physical occurrence. It is completely in the development of consciousness.

With this awakening, we become more aware of the truth. The aspirant will then become involved with deep meditation and infinite bliss. This is said to be the one way in which to attain divine wisdom. This is sometimes referred to a self realization or self knowledge. In order to be able to integrate this spiritual energy, careful purification and strengthening of the body and nervous system are required before you begin. Psychic disturbances and mental problems can occur if you try to force this.
