What Are Some Job Interview Tips?
The first step is in preparation. Make sure you learn about the organization, as this shows them that you have an interest in them. Also, have a specific type of job in mind, as this shows them that you do have a goal. Other things that you should do in preparation include reviewing your qualifications, understand your level of experience and how it fits in, and be prepared to answer questions about yourself. Have a practice interview with a friend who will be honest with you.
Although you shouldn’t have to say it, dress appropriately and be well groomed, and do not smoke or chew gum in the interview. It is also important to be early to the interview, and greet the interviewer with a firm handshake. Answering questions should be with confidence, but not in a cocky way. Also, avoid focusing on pay and benefits unless they bring it up as a part of this initial interview.
