Answer:
Eczema is an itchy rash on the ski n

(technically called atopic dermatitis) which is usually accompanied by hay fever or asthma and typically strikes children.  However, it can continue into adulthood, and some cases are first seen as adults.

Eczema is usually found behind the knees or on the arms (though it can be in other places), and it’s extremely itchy.  It tends to flare up and then disappear for long periods of time, even up to years.  Although it usually is first seen between the ages of 5 and 7, it can appear at any age .  Stress, long showers or baths, low humidity, cigarette smoke, and dry skin are among the triggers.
