How much does Dermabrasion cost?

Answer:
Dermabrasion is a procedure performed by a qualified

plastic surgeon to remove layers of skin which have become damaged, such as in severe cases of acne, or even for tattoo removals.
The cost for dermabrasion procedures depends on the extent of damage needing to be repaired and other variables, but  typical costs range between $3000 and $4000.

Dermabrasion is essentially a process whereby the surgeon uses a hand held tool with rotating abrasive wheel attachments designed to gently remove layers of damaged skin; much like using a loofah sponge to help exfoliate layers of "dead skin", except dermabrasion procedures remove more layers of skin, to the depth of the damage being treated.

Since the procedure is invasive in that it exposes raw skin layers, there are risks associated with it, and a fairly lengthy recovery period as well. Costs reflect the importance of following strict methods and practices to ensure patient safety and health is not jeopardized.

Patients considering dermabrasion procedures should consult with medical professionals and experts to understand all aspects of the procedure and any risks associated with it.
