levels down in the home is critical. This can be accomplished by installing a dehumidifier to help reduce the humidity in the home.

Dehumidifiers attach to the existing air conditioning unit on the part of the unit where air is re-circulated.  The moisture is pulled out of the air and the drier air is then sent back through the rest of the house to pick up more moisture, so that the process can begin again.

Since air ducts will connect the dehumidifier to the existing AC unit, the air ducts may need to be custom fit on site to ensure the proper fit.  A access hole will be cut into the existing AC duct work so that the dehumidifier air ducts can tap into the air flow.   Special air duct connectors make it easy to insert the dehumidifier air duct into the AC duct.

It is always a good idea to seal the seams with caulking and/or insulation to ensure that no air escapes the process.  Proper sealing ensures a more efficient system and reduces energy costs in the long run .  Support bands may need to be used to support any long extensions of duct work, if the dehumi...
