What Is A Broker?

A Broker, also known as Mediator or Dealer or Agent,

is defined as the party which mediates a transaction between a buyer and a seller.

A broker tends to take the responsibilities for initiating a transaction on behalf of the brokerage firm which involves the firm’s account as well as focuses on the needs of a client by handling transactions which are placed on the behalf of client’s account. A broker usually charges a fee (brokerage) for his mediating work. A broker also investigates the various investment opportunities that are available in the market for best investment prices in order to secure the interest of the clients and brokerage firm.

A broker makes sure that all the transactions are completed within a timely manner . A broker also utilizes his connections cultivated by the firm and offers advice and researches benefits and risks associated with an investment. A broker is generally well organized and a responsible person for helping the brokerage firm and clients for enhancing the value of their portfolios.
